I can't speak for all men, but my husband wouldn't keep me if I didn't work. How do I know this? He's said so. He's not a pig by saying this either. Its a double income world. Very few women are fortunate enough to have a husband that make a salary that allows them to be a stay at home mother/wife. We both want more than what his income will provide. His income isn't shabby either considering the region of the U.S. that we live in. Yes, we have a child. I manage career and son just fine. He's never said that I don't.

being 37, I personally don't want a career wife. 1 career in the house is enough. 2 careers just turns 2 people into roomates instead of a married couple.

If they do they are nuts. A woman with a career can be financially independent and secure. That is a good thing for children and quite a role model as a mom.

It's all in being balanced. If I asked you the question,"Will a guy who spends most of his time working at a career make a good husband and father"?, what is your answer?

The point is either gender CAN do both, but they have to prioritize properly.

My ex wife chose career over family. So much that she started getting her sex on the job too. Then when I divorced her she saw the dammage she done to our children she decided to become super mommy. Too late damage was done and she will have to pay for it the rest of her life.

I don't know if anyone even cares about that anymore. Either way, if you have a career, you shouldn't give it up for a man's sake. It's what defines you.
