Other than water and or a can of chicken broth, I would add Kraft Greek salad dressing to it as it cooks about a 1/4 cup or so ..and maybe some Black olives and feta cheese when served.
A fave homemade soup ..
I generally use whatever on hand mix and match..
stir fry mixes, and whatever small amounts of chicken or pork chops left in freezer.
My fave is a a can of Del Monte tomatoes and zucchini,a can of other flavored tomatoes such as basil and garlic, one can each pinto beans, cut green beans, carrots,a can of mixed veggies,or a half bag of frozen mixed veggies,a half can of spinach and a can of broth...add to pot and cook on high till it is cooking good.
If I want a meat in it I use cooked left over hamburger, pork,or chicken ..you can really mix and match veggies..be creative..I used a core recipe I got from a restaurant and experimented..this soup is good with corn bread on a cold winter day.
I also some times add a handfull of pasta.

The only thing I can think that is missing is some kind of liquid, like a bottle of fat free Italian dressing. I wouldn't put the pasta in until maybe a couple of hours before it is done. It might get soggy. Or cook the pasta seperate and spoon the crock pot concoction over it.

I wouldn't throw the pasta in til near the end. And you will need moisture to soften that pasta, more than I think your chicken is going to produce.
I am actually making a brisket with baby carrots, onions and potatoes in mine tomorrow.

Open up a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup and dump it in there with a half can of water and a dash of thyme.
ALWAYS keep a can of cream of mushroom soup on hand at all times! You can cook it with anything, especially meats in the slowcooker or crockpot with a few veggies.

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which is employed for food.
