I used to get them alot when I waxed my legs. Advice was to pull the muslim strips up in the direction of my hair growth, but that was not effective in pulling up the wax. So, even when I exfoliated I got them, and lots of them. They were like little angry bumps. . my husband would pick with tweezers and a needle but would scar me. Because of this I found an easy way to get rid of it.......One day I took the immediate surrounding skin and squeezed the ingrown hair area. like a pimple (sorry so graphic) And wouldnt you know it? the hair popped right out!!!!!!!!! It didnt even hurt! Sometimes you need the tweezers to pull it out entirely, but it just popped right up to the surface, I was so thrilled it was an easy fix. & no scarring!

Depends on where they are. you have to shave in the direction of the hair. If you shave off the hair follicle it can cause infection and ingrown hair. You need to use hot compresses with saltwater if possible to soften the area and then use witch hazel, cheap natural astringent good for the face also. Put the witch hazel on and let it dry, use powder to keep the skin from rubbing and making it more irritated. A good razor, shaving in the growth direction, soak well with shave lotion before shaving and witch hazel. if this doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you. Mostly legs don't do this so you may have to stop shaving that area.

I usually just use pointed tweezers and pull the hair out and then clean it with alcohol or peroxide. Then it heals pretty quickly. The main problem with an ingrown hair is that the hair is growing under the skin and is irritating the skin underneath and the body is trying to force it out but it is kind of stuck, so I help it out by pulling it. Hope this helps you :-)

What I do is pull it out with tweezers and apply peroxide on and around the area. Usually it oozes with pus so be careful not to get it on you. Good Luck and if you have one hope it gets better (they are painful!...)
