Just take the vin number from your truck to a parts store. They should pinpoint which one you need since all parts come back to the vin number. There are MANY different pcms and you need the right one. You cant just decide which one you need based on the year and engine... Try what I said... Hope it helps!!

Since the ECM is a dealer only item, you must get it from your local Dodge dealer. They will give you the part number and the price. Or, go to the local salvage yard and tell them what you want. It will be a lot cheaper at the salvage yard, but still will not be cheap.

A PCM failure might turn on the verify engine mild, i might think of. i've got by no potential heard of one failing with out it. in the event that they examine a diagnostic code, have them assist you to recognize the code. If the mild is on now, pass to Autozone and have them examine the code for unfastened. Then get on the information superhighway and look up that code, with "durango" interior the quest words next to the code. See what individuals are finding for that motor vehicle. i might have the coil replaced first (or do it your self - its many times straight forward - returned Autozone, Napa, O-Reilleys, and so on. will in all probability help you do it interior the motor vehicle parking zone). How did they be certain 2 of the injectors have been undesirable? except they examined the injectors (which a competent save can do with out plenty fuss), what are they going by potential of? Injectors may be wiped sparkling with gas gadget cleaners, which in specific circumstances supply an progression and in specific circumstances do no longer. do no longer enable them to replace a protracted checklist of issues at as quickly as. Have them achieved by potential of a competent mechanic, who will do them in a clever order. Dealerships are a competent final motel, yet be certain you get a 2nd opinion from a competent self reliant mechanic who might desire to be extra interested in assisting you.

the PCM isnt a dealer only item alot of shops can order them (KRC performance for one).

but the VIN # will need to be burned into the computer for it to work though, and there are only 2 places that can do that, a dealer or B&G(they also do custom flashes for more performance and such).
