I thought my two cats were getting a cold too... they sneezed wet clear stuff once or twice and I gave them vit. C right away. I crushed 1/2 of a 500mg human grade vit C tab and mixed that with their favorite wet food. Then I kept them inside the house where its nice and warm (they are accustomed to go walkies outside on halter and leash for 15min each night and in the outddor enclosure for another 15min). They are OK now and the sniffles seem to have abated or totally gone - no more sneezing at least. That was a week ago. I swear by vit. C - always give some to my cats when I feel they are lethragic or feeling not totally "with it."

while one in each and every of my cats became a kitten, it had one respiration an infection after yet another. I took it to the vet on countless occations. The vet advised me to place her in a bathing room and run the bathe till it became warm and steamy. The vapours would desire to help with the secretions. i became additionally advised, it somewhat is totally almost imposible for a cat to get a chilly from a human i think of it somewhat is totally uncommon yet not imposible. That kitten is now an 8 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous cat. I did shop it break away my different cats since's what the vet mentioned, even inspite of the shown fact that in the process hindsight i don't think of that's sturdy for a kitten because it needs companionship, i've got faith my cat has fears from while it became separated as a kitten and became traumatized via being close away in a room via herself and that i wouldn't in any respect do it lower back to any animal. in case you have the money, there are some very sensible vets in Toronto. One is at Lawrence and Mcowan and yet another is at Queen and Carlaw. i could if I have been you get a blood try for FIV, FLV basically to be sure any new pets I gained have not something that would desire to infect my different cats. it is not uncomen to get chilly indicators in kittens that have come from places have been they have been in touch with lots of different cats. i could not help thinking if there would desire to be different indicators like in line with risk diarrhea, or runny eyes, or dehydration. you may verify for dehydration via lifting the scruff of the neck or pinching up some fur and if it would not bounce lower back, because it does on your wholesome tom cats the kitty would desire to make certain the vet as quickly as attainable. desire that's effective to you. i'm not a vet or a vet assistant I even have basically owned lots of cats and fosters some.

Well just keep her warm and comfortable tonight until you can get her to the vet. Try and call around for a walk-in vet that doesnt take appointments. Those are a lot easier to get in and it shouldnt cost too much. Hope this helps!

Symptoms: coughing? sneezing? anorexia? lethargy?

If he has green or yellow eye/nasal discharge he should go into the vet for the next available appt. The reason being: upper respiratory infections tend to cause a decrease in their appetites due to congestion and just not feeling well. It's important for your kitten to continue to take in daily nutrients. If he is not eating, he should go to the vet immediately.

I always warmed one of my favorite sweatshirts in the dryer and let them sleep on it and wrap it around them a little. If they have a runny nose or watery eyes, I would 'wash' their faces with a warm washcloth to help keep them clear and flowing freely.

I hope your kitty feels better soon!

Colds or upper respiratory infections in cats are serious, they do not have the best immune systems. Keep warm until you can get her to the vet tomorrow. Don't wait until an appointment, just walk in with her in your arms and they will see you, don't wait. It is very serious. God bless you and your cat.!!!
