Go to college, and get a degree. Excell in academics, and learn to do well socially. Have a squeaky clean background, and get to know, or ingratiate, your congressman. Apply, and hope you have the "juice" to be in the running.
Seriously, the FBI is a very selective organization. There are a lot more people wanting to be FBI Agents, than there are openings.
You will have to be very bright, very dedicated, and have some political pull to get to that spot.

First apply to the FBI. You don't get to pick the unit to which you are assigned initially - you'll have to go through training, then be a field officer, then have more specific training, then finally in a few years you can ask for a specific assignment. It won't be anything like "Without a Trace" by the way - that's just a TV show!

Go to the FBI website and fill out an application. They also have the different career paths and how the system works as far as getting into different fields.

First you don't pick your assignments, You would be assigned to a field office to start with, and you would put in for specific assignments as they come open, you get transfered according to senority, pay grade ( various posts have different pay grades, and you can only go into one of the same grade you are)
But you will need a college degree, and a CPA or a law degree is also very helpful.
