I was just wondering if white guys or other races prefer dating a light skin black girl or darker one. Because whenever I see a white guy with a black girl their usually light skin. Even though I'm hott, nice, fun to be around, they seem to choose the light skinned ones. Even if I look better than them. Why? I was just wondering...because I don't think it's fair. I'm really pretty (I get that alot) but it seems like I get overlooked by white guys because I'm dark (Brown skin)
Why do some of you do that? Just wondering because I'm really into white guys. I think their hott, I just don't know how to catch one because their usually after mixed, hispanic, or white girls (Which are pretty also.) I just wanna know what yall think about dark skin black girls....

Me personally I think darker skinned women are more sexy but that's just me, but I also like lighter skin too.

It's really all personal preference ...
To some degree it's society and what a person was raised with, but it still comes back to personal preference. A guy could be raised only around white folk and so would never be attracted to a dark skinned woman because she's just too different from what he's used to ... OR the same guy could find dark skinned women even more attractive because he finds them "exotic." I don't think you're going to find a satisfactory answer to this question except that you haven't met the right guy(s) for you. *shrug*

though i am an asian but i dont think that white guys only like light dark skinned girls or whatever light skinned girls, the more you get to know a person, the more a guy will fall for you, its how things work....
sometimes, we tend to develop a sense of insecurity regarding of how we look, as long as we're confident and able to present ourselves in front of the crowd, then people will start to start paying attention to you..
No doubt that there may be some white guys who only go after white girls , but then i still believe that MORE guys tend to look at the inner beauty of a girl regardless of her skin tone...
wish you all the best and just be your very best, and dont be shy or overfriendly when you meet a white guy, then that will be a startoff for you!

I'm light brown and white men tend to find my skin tone attractive, but my features are kind of babyish too so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.

There are people in every race who are attracted to, or curious about, other races. There are also the majority in every race who prefer their own. This is normal. Those who want to date out do not wear signs in order to be quickly recognized.
Be careful what you do. Do not get desperate because you would be prone to many mistakes. When users see desperation, they jump on it. Who knows? Mr. Right may not be in the race you are targeting. I do not recommend a dating site because you might land a predator.
Like yourself, know that you are beautiful, know that Mr. Right will come, and enjoy life carefully.

I think its where you're located, because here in Carolina there are a lot of dark skinned girls with white men. I myself am starting to become attracted to more white men. Its just a particular type that I like though. Just look in different places because you're probably bored with where you're at.

Don't play hard to get. I think white guys like it when girls make the first move, by this I mean flirting or suggesting a phone number exchange. Make it easy for them to ask you out. You have to give them an opening and make sure they know you are interested.

My brother, he is 20, and his gf has really dark skin, and i think shes gorgeous, a lot prettier than his last gf who was also black, but she was kind of pale-ish. when I saw this question i asked him what he thought and this is what he had to say:
He said that a lot of guys he know don't date darker black girls because most of them go for black guys, not white guys.
Maybe that helps, I don't know. I bet if you just act like you would around any guy, you could probably get them, since ur pretty and stuff.

I am a white guy, but I have dated a few darker skinned women. I do not really care about skin color. I think men in general like women regardless of color. Men's tastes are as different as the women we love.
