OMG I am so scared. I am 12 and am at the age of where I realize all the bad things that are going on. And I am kind of furiated with myself with the fact of things going in one year and out the other. But sadly most of the things that are going through to the other side [of the ear] are the good things in this world. I am just looking at the bad, like global warming. It is scaring the crud out of me, almost more than anything else. And I am scared because at my age, I understand what is going on but adults aren't paying any attention to me, what should I do. I want to help out really badly with the whole global warming thing. I am so scared and would like for every person to do their part. Maybe it just wasn't a good idea for me to watch that AL GORE MOVIE[HE ROCKS] (GO AL) that is when I first started to fear for Global Warming. Hey but I did just think of one good thing, a large portion of America is doing their part to make sure to take care of global warming the amishe.

Chances are you'll die before global warming seriously affects you. Most likely from a heart-disease related issue. You should be more worried about that. But it is interesting that while you say you're scared, you seem to be more scared of what other people are scared of, and don't seem to understand the real issues. Here's a website to check out: http://www.junkscience.com/Greenhouse/Greenhouse_not_a_problem.htm. It's big and long and a bit sciencey (not as easy on the eyes as a Hollywood production film), but it lays it all out for you.

I think once you learn more about the facts you'll see through a lot of the hype and be able to make your own opinions about the matter.

The truth is sometimes scary and uncomfortable. You made the right to watch this film. You cultivated yourself with a lot of information, scary or not. The thing is, the Heads of the nations are the ones who will stop slow down Global Warming. But they can't face the truth. They have to resolve a problem of such magnitude that threatens all human kind, in less than 10 years! It is so much trouble and work for them, they prefer to ignore the threat completely. That attitude will kill us all.
To slow down Global Warming (it can't be stopped), recycle, reuse, and use less of.
Also, starting a foundation or an organization of your own with other kids and some adults at your school would be a great idea.
Good luck.

I can sympathize I am 14 and I hate the Iraq war (It is not even a war did you know that nobody officially declared war on Iraq?) but I think the best way to avert global warming is to go solar. Zero emissions, free electricity - best way to go! Unfortunately nobody will listen to you yet since you are only 12, but take your time formulating opinions. Just think about all this stuff, then when you are about 27 years old, go out and start a career in politics. Then you can actually make a difference.

Al Gore is a self-serving anathema to the people of America. I understand the physics and chemistry of global warming and I assure you it is not a problem. It will go the way of the phoney ozone crisis. By the time people get wise to the global warming hoax the leftist socialists will conjure up some other hoax. Study math, physics and chemistry as it becomes available to you and you won't fall for phoney experts like Al Gore. You will be able to figure out the truth of these things for yourself. While I'm at it, I may as well tell you that what comes out of TV will make you stupid. I threw my TV out 28 years ago.

Hello chris_max, please don't be so scared. What you can do is do a report, share it with your teacher and classmates and from there be an advocate and tell others such as your parents what they can do to alleviate the problem and pray others will do the same. I believe global warming is serious, however, there are simple things we can do as you already know by watching the film "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore. Go chris_max, go.

Don't spend time worrying about such things. I am 51 and worried tremendously about things like earthquakes and atomic wars/bombs and the world coming to an end, when I was your age. I remember just being terrified and nothing has happened. You have to learn to enjoy life and not let all these media reports about what MAY happen concern you. Do what you can to make the world better, and just know, that what's gonna happen is gonna happen. There's really not alot we can do about it.
