The guy I like, my sort of bf. Gave me a Christmas present. He doesn't have alot of money and he didn't give anyother of his friends presents. What does that mean, is it guilt or something else?

Apparently he wanted to give you a Christmas gift because he likes you, that's all. What could he have to feel guilty about if he is just your "sort of" boyfriend?

Why make a soap opera out of a gift, for Pete's sake. He likes you enough to give you a Christmas present. Tell him thanks, and that it was very thoughtful, and you appreciate it.

Now find something else to bring drama into your life.

he thought about you when he thought of christmas. maybe as a gf, maybe as a homie, but in some way, you might be special to him

could be that or he's hoping a present will get him closer to something he wants. hope its the first one

He might feel guilty, but to answer your question, it's preference.
He cares about you, doesn't want you to think he's selfish. He probably loves you. Be grateful, sweetie, that he's not an Ebeneezer Scrooge.

I did the same thing this year...it meant that you are important to him, and that you stand out beyond others..it is a very good thing, you probably make him feel good.

You are over thinking this. Just accept the gift and be happy.

I think it means he values your friendship more than anything else.... why take such a cynical position?
