He was on assignment for NG and shooting covered bridges in Iowa? Without watching the movie, what are some of the details? I don't remember that much. What kind of camera was he using? What kind of techniques did he use? Was there anything special or memorable about this one aspect of the movie?

I thought he was believable.....he was talking to Meryl Streep's character about the light at that bridge.
He was storing his film in her fridge, also..........

Wasn't that Robert Redford? It's been years since I saw it. You're right, of course; it was Eastwood; his character's name was Robert. Anyway he didn't use a Leica but a larger-format camera with a tripod. I don't know if the brand was ever shown. I guess it could have been a Hasselblad, but that's only a guess. It was a great film. I think she really did love her husband, but it must have been very tempting to just chuck it all and go off with the dashing Robert. I've photographed covered bridges BTW, and it's not as easy as you might think.

Clint Eastwood was wonderful in that movie. Couldn't tell you what kind of camera he was using or anything like that.

I remember her staring at the truck door handle at the end as they went their seperate ways... and the package withthe book he sent her after he died.

The type of camera was incidental but probably being a NG it was a medium format Hasselblad. Just guessing!
