i tihnk you misread something avg free is just that: free. it doesnt expire ive had it for years. if it does go away somehow just download it agian it should work fine. its the only reliable free virus protection dont bother searching for sometihng better. however i recomend getting adaware if you dont already have it. its not a virus service but virus protection doesnt search for spam and spyware and vice versa make sure you have both.

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

The antivrius you are using is of version 7.1.
You need to download AVG Free version 7.5.
After which you can use it for free.
Please visit http://free.grisoft.com to download AVG Free 7.5

I've always preferred www.avast.com over avg.
Grisoft may be offering a free AVG 7.5 version, but they are making it awfully confusing what they are and are not providing "free".
