Use great caution in meeting someone over the Internet. Be sure to tell your parents you are doing so, and do not give out personal information like your full name or address over the Internet. If you choose to meet someone in person, meet for the first few times in a public place like a mall.

Ok, I was joking! Really now, I would advise no. It's so... unrealistic. You should get to know your soul mate by first becoming friends, and then, laaaater down the road, you can start a relationship. The problem with online dating is that it's artificial, and..... do you really want someone that depends on a dating service? And also. people are "matched" so instantly, they skip over the whole "friend" phase!

How do you date someone over the internet? Dating requires people be face-to-face. You can get to know someone online, but when it comes time to date, that's gotta be in person.
I've dated guys I've met online for years now...and I've had some great experiences...but if your relationship with someone is online only, then the most you can be is cyber-friends...

Well, some say its dangerous and blahbalbah which is probaly true but if your willing to risk it then do it. It's fun meeting someone online because first it starts with the fun conversations and you always wanting to be online to talk to them. then it comes to the meeting if you want to meet that person. The hard part is though is falling in love with someone that is too far away. Trust me you dont want to go that route if you do fall for someone that is long distance. But hey, your young why not. Just be smart about who you talk to online though.

i have had great luck with it, and i've been doing it for 2 years. I'm 16 now as well, and it is alot of fun. One piece of advice though, make sure that you are being yourself; even when it is tempting to be all glamorous and all. You have more luck connecting with people that are truly like you, and you will be able to tell if their serious about what they are saying.

at da age of 16...HELL no cuz im sure you can find sum1 out there like(da mall, school, neighborhood) dat you can hang with and date ya know!...ur just too young and should be physically in a relationship, not on da computer!

No. I think you shouldnt your still young you can find lots of people at school, through friends, in your neighboorhood.. but if you do internet date be careful!

is not really a good thing to do since you dont really know how the person really looks like and well is just not the same when you hold ur girlfriend's hand.
