Therapy. find the root of your problems and talk it through with a professional. you really should be talking about this with a Psychologist or Psychiatrist.

Well first of all they will proably want to try some new anti depressnats on you, and anxiety drugs. But when all fails it is going to be up to you to work through this, and it is not going to be quick or easy. You are really going to have to come forth, with things, that you may not want to talk about, and have just kind of stuffed them away so deep, you really don't want to talk about them. But that will help drop down the level of anxiety, and you will find that you do not feel as depressed, cause you finally got it out, what ever has been eating at you or bothering you all of these years. There are books on how to learn to float pass your anxiety, i had a coulpe, but they were burned up in apt. fire, so i really can't tell you right off the names of them. They were both written by the same woman doctor, and it really helped, and i got over my anxiety to the most part and panic attacks, they really helped . Thoses well be found in the self help session in the book store. As for the depression, well you are going to have to try and figure out what is causing it, and then work on it, keep a journal, that will actually show you what is happening and why you are feeling the way you are. Also work with who ever you are seeing and be really truthful to them about your problems, what is bothering you. You just may find that some of that depression disappears. When you are stressed too, that will cause your depression, and anxiety, so the more you can learn to not let things stress you out, the less the depression, and anxiety will be. Therapy can help you identify the things that are causing your depression and anxiety, if you don't already know. Then, you need to address those things (sounds so easy, right?).
For me, I needed to learn coping skills, which has helped a lot. I needed to start to accept my parents' divorce. I needed to gain self-confidence. And the list goes on...
While you're working through these issues, try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Get enough sleep, exercise, and eat well. Make sure you have a good support system of friends and family. Keep yourself busy with work or school. Set small goals for yourself, and you can feel very proud when you achieve them. When you can, start to confront the situations that make you anxious, very gradually, and you will learn that there isn't anything to fear.

Exercise and community support are considered to be two other effective ways to combat this. See if you can make some new friends that like to do more out-door activities.
Don't give up on your doctor just because any one specific drug did not work. There might be a different combination that helps you better.

Just because one or two anti-depressants failed, doesn't mean that they all will. It took several years, many medications, and many combinations of medications of medications before I found something that worked for me.
If your doctor suggests ECT - I suggest that you find a different doctor. ECT has caused a permanent memory dysfunction in me, and it is not an uncommon side effect.

Therapy and usually group therapy is best, exercise and a good diet low in sugars and fats a good mulivitamin and mineral added, talking to someone that you like and get along with, laughter is medecine for the soul ao watch funny movies and programs on tv, try helping other people that are worse off than you are by volunteering someplace, listening to uplifting music and stay away from people that bring you down or criticize you. Keep a journal, writing down your feelings helps. good luck.

If antidepressants are failing then they are not the right ones, it may mean trialling several before you find one that works and it may also mean combining them with a hospital stay and group sessions and/or counseling. antidepressants on their own wont solve the situation.

go see your doctor, there is a large selection and interact with different parts of the brain. OR try the alternative method, talk to someone, yoga, change of diet.
