Today (while driving) I prayed or asked who ever maybe listening. I asked (who ever) IF you are listening I want to know you. I have become interested in the earth lately, I wonder what has made these creations or a least it seems to be a creation to me. I am not unhappy with my life or in some crisis etc...I'm just wondering if there is more to this human experience thing.

I asked that "if" there is some supernature force God/Jesus or some unknown being to make contact with me. That I am in fact willing to look deeper, that I am open for the possibility. I have thrown down the challenge if you will. I told the possible "being" that I am making the free will
choice to seek you out, the ball is in your court to return the call. I am now in the waiting period. I did this at 2:30 pm it's now 10:12 pm.

Any suggestions, I would appreciate any advice

I understand were you are coming from. If you get a response, please let me know, i am seeking God/Creator/Being myself. In the meantime be open to getting a response in a variety of ways, if Creator is all-powerful and obviously made everything there are probably a number of ways to respond.
I think to keep an open mind. Feel free to e-mail me, I understand what you mean.

What’s behind your request? What are your motives?
If it is in honesty it will be answer.

God is as able and as willing to answer prayer today as he ever was in times past. True, we may not always understand by what particular means God answers prayer today, but we do know that he uses his organization, consisting of both invisible and visible creatures, his Word and his holy spirit or active force.—Eph. 3:20; Matt. 7:11; 1 Ki. 18:36-38; 2 Ki. 19:19, 35; Acts 12:5, 7.

Further, if our prayers are to reach God we must recognize his appointed way, for Jehovah is a God of order. As the great Sovereign of the universe he is not one to permit his subjects to indiscriminately intrude upon him, and especially not such as are his enemies because of sin. He has a channel which we must recognize if we would have an audience with him, as it were. Since the spring of A.D. 33 that channel is Jesus Christ, even as he said: “No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Since this is so, it might be asked, Why did not Jesus include this requirement in the model prayer he gave his disciples? Doubtless because when he gave that prayer he had not fully proved himself. But by the last day of his ministry he had ‘finished the work his Father had given him to do,’ and so he could say: “If you ask the Father for anything he will give it to you in my name. Until this present time you have not asked a single thing in my name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.”—John 14:6; 1 Tim. 2:5, 6; John 17:4; 16:23, 24.

First of all congrats on seeing creation for what it is...God's announcement that He does in fact exist! Now if I were you I would spend some time reading thru the The Bible (check the new testament, one of the gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) Asking for the same that you asked for during your drive today. Ask God to reveal the truth to you! Then be willing to sense His presence. Don't expect a booming voice or some visible sign...God, in my experience, doesn't work like that! Then, perhaps look for a contemporary Christian church in your area that has a pastor on staff who looks a little - well less like a pastor than what you would expect...one who can speak to you about what you are experiencing in ways that don't scream "I know it all and you don't so listen to me or else"! I hope you find The Truth!

It is just ducky that you have made this free will choice - but denied the same free will to God. What if God chooses to answer you in a way that allows you to grow in the best possible way?
If the issue was God proving himself to you - then you would be the higher power, thus God, because you would judge the proof adequate or not.
You notice creation - marvelous. In the Bible, that is one of the "of course there is a God" statements. Now what else do you notice? If you are seeking to grow - are you reading the Bible? Don't try the a to z approach or you will die in Lev. or Chr. Check out and sample for a time.
Praying - simplest is the Lord's Prayer. It's a lot easier to go w/ Thy Will be done than figuring out the personal/relational/national/economic/social/political/universal/ecological consequences of what I want to pray for.
Welcome aboard, it is a grand ride.

Here are three reasons why I believe in God:

1. For every organization there is an organizer. For every painting there is a painter. For every creation, then, it is logical to assume there must be a creator.

2. Science lacks a thorough explanation of how the universe came to be and the theory that it was all by chance is insufficient to a questioner who wants a definite answer. Even science comes down to theory and the hman imagination because the universe can be traced back all until 1^43 of a second after the triggering event of th Big Bang. What, anyway, caused the Big Bang? We are tought that for every existing cell there must've been a pre-existing cell. If that's truetha means life must've existed forever (another mind-bogging concept..."forever")

3. There are countless miracles in this world that are too concise to be the product of natural selection/science. For example, 500 codons match with their anti-codons in an exact sequence in the RNA of a protein inside cill. The likelhood of this occurence in nature is 1/1^950!! Times that by the billions of other miracles and that is the faith that you put in science. A LOT more than God if you ask me. It's sad that God has to make things blatantly clear before people appreciate Him. We turn to Him in times of turbulence, but when lif is good we don't even acknowledge Him. To deny His existence is to reject your soul's thirst for a further explanation; to deny your soul the spiritual conquest it yearns for.

I don't know if you got anything out of that but I could think of 100's of more reasons of wy I believe in Him. Good luck on your search for an answer! Peace.

God is not going to call you on the phone so you have to be open to other ways that he might contact you and you must understand that it may have already happened today or it might not happen for several more weeks. God is not on your schedule. It might also help if you began to read the letter he has already written you (the Bible) and try to figure out what he wants you to know about him and about his purpose for man and for the earth. Pray and ask for holy spirit to help you understand what you are reading. All these things are just the beginning of the most remarkable relationship you will ever have.

This is taken from the James Dobson web site:

It begins with an acknowledgment of your need. The self-sufficient think they have no use for a Savior. Jesus Himself said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Mark 2:17). If you recognize your own deficiency, if you can see places where the disease of sin has established a hold over your life, you're already headed in the right direction.

The next step is to confess that need and ask for the Lord's help. Will He answer? If you doubt it, consider this: He has already died to pay the penalty for your sin. He has "wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, having nailed it to the cross" (Colossians 2:14). What's more, He promises to answer: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him and he with me" (Revelation 3:20).

If this is the desire of your heart, try talking to God in simple words like these: "Father, I know that I've sinned against You and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again for me. I want you to come into my life, wash me clean, and make me completely Your own. Thank you for hearing my prayer."

If you've prayed that prayer — or one like it — you're a member of God's family: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Now there's just one more thing to do: get involved with your brothers and sisters! Find a local church, Bible study, or Christian support group where you can study God's Word and grow in fellowship with other believers. And remember — the adventure is just beginning!

God already has made contact with you. Otherwise you wouldn't have prayed to Him or have any interest in Him. This is what happens when the Holy Spirit speaks to people. Keep praying. I hope you will become very close with God as a result.

When I was searching, I found that I needed to actively search. Tossing up the fleece and hoping for the burning bush or bolt of lightning didn't seem to work.

So, I looked at a variety of religions. I read a number of books on a number of faiths. I had a science background, as an engineer, and I didn't accept things that simply were contrary to what I knew to be true. I held the opinion that if there was some deity out there, that they certainly wouldn't act in a manner contrary to known physical laws. Too, you might want to look at quantum physics. If you're not familiar, you might want to watch "What the Bleep do we Know?"

Anyway, my advice is to avoid taking something as true without examining it and determining if it makes sense TO YOU. Avoid adopting a religion out of fear of their supposed consequences. When you find something, it will be clear enough to you. It will resonate. But if you're just sitting at your computer, it's not likely to just jump out and grab you. You really need to take an active part in your search.

Blessings,

--Dee

It will never respond just to prove something.

It will not be toyed with in this manner.

It will show it's self to you when you are ready to see.

This is how it showed me.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don
