The old feasts have no place and no purpose in these new covenant days, where the definitive, one time and once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross has become the source and summit of all Christian existence.

It doesn't.
In fact, in read this from Zech. 14...
16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD [d] will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
It says G-d will punish those who DON'T celebrate this Scriptural Feast!

There is no where in the Bible tht says such a thing. If we can't enjoy the feast of God down here then how can we expect to enjoy the heavenly feast up in heaven when he calls us home to be with him which is called the wedding supper.

I've read the Bible through a dozen or so times, but have never heard of either the feast of God or a prohibition against such.

where in your universe does it say you must go by the bible for anything relevant to this modern age?
I think what you are talking about, though is one of the older Jewish traditions
many "laws" were simply meant to keep the society in order and give it eternal perpetatual existence. in not keeping these commands, as with any religion, it dies out
amazingly, I have found that it ends but I remain to live another day, no apocalypse or end times, just an awakening to another day and chance to be "in the now"
we have so much to do now than to try and figure out a deceased society and deposed "king" who failed and thier god found to have "abandoned" them or "let" thier enemies capture them
they have thier own explanations for all of this of course
but I have also found that some of the culture is healthy and stimulating, worth checking into, about questioning and self discovery, and coming of age, a great cycle
