i hav a set of cordless fones there is no dial tone wat do io do?

Obvious question first: Are the batteries fully charged?

The other thing to check is that the base unit is properly plugged in (to an electric source) and connected to the phone line. I know it seems obvious, but I've got a set of Uniden cordless phones and it's been known to work itself loose (where the phone line enters the base unit).

Finally, if you have a digital phone line, make sure your box is properly plugged in, etc. Plug a "normal" phone into the jack and see if you get a dial tone there.
