It’s just I am a 24 year old guy, and I really would like to know, how rare it is to be a virgin waiting to lose their virginity to someone special when married? Especially as the world is obsessed with sex.

I don't think it's "that" rare. Not like you're 40, lol..joke. Besides virginity is all about your own beliefs and when you feel like you're ready or want to lose it. I don't see anything wrong with saving it for that special person. However, I do agree with you and the whole world thing. I think it's mostly peer pressure these days. If you can stick to it and stay true to yourself. Than you're good and different. Hope that helps...xD

yes it is very rare in western society... but it is nothing to be ashamed about. have you ever been in a relationship with anyone?
yes it is true that the world is obsessed with sex. we see it everywhere... on tv, newspapers, magazines. there is nothing wrong with sex, but the way it is portrayed as the be all and end all is not healthy for society.
i do not think anyone can castigate you for being virgin, maybe you are just waiting for the right person to come along. and its quite good to see someone not just wanting to sleep with a woman for the sake of it. hope you find someone decent ;)

I think that somewhere in the range of 90% of men lose their virginity before getting married, but that is because many men want sex and go get it. But do not think that you are weird in any way. I applaude you for your good values and that you want to wait until getting married before sex. I hope you find that special person to get married to and lose your virginity to.

i think it is rare> sex these days is meaningless and just not that bigger deal>
my first time was with someone i hardly knew< didnt have any feelings for whatsoever< it wasnt great but i dont regret it
when youre a virgin i think you build it up so much in your mind< when really it will probably be over in like three minutes anyway
theres nothing wrong with waiting its a personal choice

It's rare but it's good that your waiting. I wish that people would wait until they are married before they have sex. Not to many people do the smart thing and wait anymore so I really applued you and hope that you'll keep it up. I know it's hard but you can do it. Just remeber that absistence is the safest sex of all. Congraduations on thinking smart.

honestly just because the world is obsessed doesnt mean that everyone is. there are many people who vow to stay a virgin until they are married or find the right person. i think that if it is a goal in your life that you have set than you should stick to it and do not let anyone bring you down from it.

I'm a virgin and am waiting until marraige. Most of my friends are virgins too. If you want to meet more virgins become involved with your church. All of my friends that I have met through Catholic Daughters are Virgins. =) Its a big decision but you'd be surprised how many people have choosen to wait. People will talk about about how they had sex last night but its not common to talk about how you decided to not have sex last night. Baisically, theres more virgins than people realize.

Your a guy, it doesn't matter, but there's more virgins than you probably think. There's those that will admit it, and those that say that they're not virgins and about half of them actually are, and if it ever gets into an embarassing situation just say you have had sex, but don't worry about it.

Don't wait to lose it to someone special. When your first time is done, you will wonder why you waited so long. Then you will regret all those years you wasted when you were young, dumb, and full of c um.
