What is it with boys and myspace...they talk so much on myspace, but in real life its like they rarely talk.?

they are scared...it is easier for them to sit behind a computer and type what it is they feel.. rather than get akward feelings wondering if what they just said to a girl in person was offensive or stupid...ya know kind of the way you feel when you act shy and innocent because you want a guy to really like you!

It's easier to talk on myspace when you know that strangers are reading, you can have a anonymous identity and ure not facing or talking to anyone one on one. It's like a journal and a way to vent and rant. It is harder to talk in person when it comes to personal matters. Boys will be boys. I believe a lot of girls do it too. Hope this helps..xD

It's totally different talking face-to-face. Initiate conversation with them in person more often and less on myspace. It's friggin myspace, they're probably just scared to talk toyou.

Because in person they have to be cool and not express themselves in large part due to peer pressure. Myspace is one-on-one and unless they have a friend looking over their shoulder, they can relax, tone down the macho, and be themselves. Guys really aren't that bad, we just feel we have to posture sometimes...you know, the whole alpha male thing.

They might feel more comfortable for them. Maybe they are insure about people looking at them when they talk. like if people are looking at them they may feel as if they are being judged.

It is much easier for a guy...or anyone really...to communicate by typing or writing. People don't usually go around going..."Hey ya'll, I'm Bob! My friends are Joe, Moe, Larry, and Mike. We are always going to the movies and hanging out. In my spare time, i like to ride my skateboard and shoot hoops and look at hot girls...." Telling about your life is much easier then making conversations out of thin air.

It's like text messaging the society in a couple of years won' need to speak to each other. But no maybe when he is around you he can't think of anything to say. I work with children and it's funny to watch them when they are in their comfort zone (my-space for him) but once they leave that comfortable spot they freeze up. Or as my son would say maybe he just don't have any game!

hey girl, u can hate it all u want.. but i guess there are reasons guys talk more thru typing than face-to-face.. most are already said, but i'll add this:
i myself ain't good at talkin one-to-one, face-to-face.. u ask why.. maybe im much nervous n i'd probably stutter, for one.. but another important reason is: in written text, we have the luxury of editing.. we guys can check our sentences n edit them when necessary.. u again ask why.. it's because girls're very sensitive.. it only takes a single, stupid, misspoken word to make a girl go berserk.. even a joke said with the wrong tone can cause fury.. n u know that guys're aren't really good around girls.. girls're our weakness.. history even proves it.. so we might say a lotta stupid things.. n that'd probably be enough ammo to start World War III in our relationships..
but in typing/writing, we guys can change n filter our words so they aren't hurtful to u girls.. maybe not all guys do this, but i need this editing privilege..
well, maybe it sucks..but hey, i'd prefer u complainin to me here than to hurt u accidentally with my spoken words...
