I have had red itchy bumps on my face-cheeks, forehead, jawline since July, waited a couple of months to see if they would go away i have tried clariton, and other over the counter meds, and nothing seemed to help if anything it only seems to have gotten worse, but not because of the meds. I finally got tired of all the itching that occurs, I went to the derma & she called it acne rosacea and then gave me about 4 prescriptions, and also suggested a clear light treatment, well im on my 4th treatment, and it hasnt seemed to work or i dont think it has. Im still getting the red bumps on my face, and now i've noticed that i get one or two on my upper chest, and neck. Well thats how it started in july I noticed it on the side of my cheek by my hairline and now i get about 3 or 4 on both sides of my face plus my forehead. Its just very frustrating. If anyone knows of a over the counter remedy, please tell me. I'm done giving my money to the derma & not seeing results.

People are probably gonna think I'm very stupid but this is what works for me. So, I did this a few months ago because I'm not the smartest. Keep that in mind. Acne is caused by bacteria growing in and under your skin right? So I absolutely thought that if Hand Sanitizer killed bacteria, why can't it kill it on my face? Andddd that lead to me putting some small amounts of hand sanitizer in my T-zone and other practical places.I do this about 2-3 times a day and that works really great for me.

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.

In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

It might be a bacterial infection---then you might be allergic to something you use (such as a cleanser, soap). Do you handle your face often?

At first, if you are not allergic to bleach...try a solution of 1 quart water w/ 2Tbls. of bleach (this is for purposes of dilution only..not application). Rinse your face with it (just take a wash cloth that you have soaked in the solution and rung out--and wipe it over the area...that is it. Don't use the whole quart a day---once in the morning and again in the evening. You should start to see some improving result, even slight, if it is bacterial related. Other than that, try changing soaps, clothing, make-up (not wearing make-up if you are female--cant tell), food, etc.

Might sound weird and something crazy to do. But, toothpaste really works.

Don't have to go out and buy a expensive brand use the one you have at your

house. How long you leave it on is truly up to you. Some leave it on for a few

minutes. Some leave it on till it starts to split. And don't leave it on

overnight. I'm not a wild sleeper I sleep on my back so I leave it on overnight

since I don't go to bed till like 1 in the morning and have to wake up at 5.

You really need to read "Rosacea Free Forever" by Laura Taylor (also available in electronic format here: http://www.rosaceafreeforever.info ). It's about how to permanently cure your Rosacea naturally. I cured my Rosacea permanently in only 4 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

The next time you shave your legs, use a shaving cream and razors made for sensitive skin. In the meantime, to ease the soreness, try a lotion that has aloe in it. This might help with the pain.

Maybe you need natural ingredients...

My mom use to tell me to put on orange peels and smushed avacodos and put it on my face to soothe the itchiness.

Since you have acne, you may need to put on sunscreen if you go outside...

But then i never had acne...
