I think a lot of the time it depends on how much excess baggage you bring in from the old relationship. That is one of the reasons I haven't started dating yet after my divorce...I don't want to make some other man pay for the damage my ex-husband inflicted on my self esteem.

Well, I guess it would depend usually a rebound is just someone you use as a pick you up kinda thing, just to reassure yourself that you haven't lost your touch. As horrible and mean as that sounds it's what I've learned from rebounding or being rebounded on. I mean sure they can work out if your with the person and maybe they will realize how great you are or something like that but then again that kind of thing usually only happens in movies. It's one of those things only you can decide if it will work out or not... good luck with that.

I think it may depend on the time criteria for being a rebound relationship. I am married now and my ex- and I were apart only 1 month before I met my husband. If you were in a bad relationship that should have ended long ago, and you find someone who really meets your needs, I think it can work.

yes, my last girlfriend was a rebound and that girl was probably the closest person i've ever been to. You'd be surprised at how good these relationships are, UNLESS your just dating to get your mind off of how much you like your old Gf/Bf. Date them if you know you like them.

Most of the time no, because the one that was "Rebounded" figures out that they do not like or love the person that "Rebounded" them.

For me personally there as strong as the foundations there built upon. A rebound can be a bit of a novelty but it soon wears off over time.

I Never go on a rebound so im not sure if it really works.
I beleive its a weak way to accept reality. Its better to take time out to heal instead of jumbimg from one relationship to another it is ok to go through the heartache it only makes you stronger.

I went back to the first boyfriend but now I am back with the "rebound" at that time and we have been happy together for quite some time.

i have had several friends that have done rebounds..i have noticed that they dont work as planned. i for one havn't actually dated a guy more than once, because i broke up with him for an important reason. like if he played me or we just didn't talk enough. it might be pretty understandable if those problems happen again which makes things all horrible all over.

Yes, I have been a rebound to a fella and he finally married another bimbo after me. If your not over the person you were in love with totally, it won't work with your new partner unless you are totally in love and in sync with them.
