A "healthy weight" is determined by calculating your BMI or Body Mass Index. This system allows you to determine your "healthy weight".
This is not the only factor though. Muscle weights much more than fat and your total body fat percentage would have to be taken into account as well as your height.
Consult with your doctor if you are concerned about your weight or nutrition.

What I don't understand is they say that we should not make you kids feel bad for the way you look, I am not sure there is any really normal growth patterns that I have ever seen. I think that it is just as bad to tell a kid that they are too fat or too skinny if you are a doctor or health professional as it is for anyone else to do it. I think that it is caused from all kinds of things and that we are a funny society about wanting all people to be just the same and at the same time want to deny that. The formulas leave bone mass out a lot of times it is height and weight, but bone mass has to come in some place? Think about how we judge how big a dog will be, by looking to see how big a puppy's paws are?

Well, the BMI (Body Mass Index) goes by age, to an extent. It also goes by height and weight.
So if you are 120 lbs and if u are of average height (5'5'') you are in normal range.

Technically their is no "average" weight it all depends on your height and muscle mass (*remember muscle weighs more than Fat!) check your BMI or go to a doctors appointment and ask if your current weight is healthy

It depends on age/height; I suggest you check your BMI (Body Mass Index.) That will tell you what you should weigh.
