Yes, just not all the time. If you don't snore normally, you usually have to be in an akward sleeping posistion, like your head tilting back, so that your trachea hits together while breathing, creating the snoring noise.

The "buzz word" nowadays is Obstructive Sleep Apnea. If you are waking yourself up snoring, or keeping others awake, or if you stop breathing during snoring, or you wake up really tired like you haven't slept,go get a sleep study. There is wonderful, restful treatment for snoring.

Snoring is caused by the soft palate falling across the airway when you relax in sleep. Some snore louder because the occlusion is more complete, it is an indicator of obstructive sleep apnea. Anyone who snores loudly should have a sleep study. Sleep apnea can contribute to heart disease.

No, not everyone. I've been told I snore from time to time, but not rediculously loud or anything. My dad snores like you would not believe. Thank God I don't live at home anymore! :o)

No but it is common if you have a cold or allergies. It also goes with sleep apnea. So you might want to mention it to your doctor.
