Just eat right and exercise is the best way. No saturated fats (eat the good oils not the bad ones) and less processed starches like white rice and bread and go for the wheat breads and brown rice. And walk more to places (2 miles a day a minium) if you can if you don't have to the time to dedicate an hour or more (the best) to do actual exercising.
It's not flashy and a quick loss but it's a healthy life style that keeps you healthy and right. And avoid all the processed food that says less fat or no fat, they replace the missing fat with sugar or starches and etc. and it's the carbs that you should count more of the fats. Or just listen to you nurtritionist for what to eat and know that you are to exercise. And don't listen to any diet fads, they are tempary and actually can be very harmful (Adkeins)

devonmallblue is right on the money. The answer is YOU. Knowledge is power... it is said. That is so true. The best weight loss program is learning to "Eat to live, don't live to eat." What I mean by that is simple. You only need 1500 to 1800 calories a day to live. You do need a few vitamins and minerals. Learn all you can about nutrition and the psychology behind overeating. Here are two links to get you started. Don't bother clicking them if you're not absolutely serious about losing weight....

Regular exercise and a healthy diet. Body for Life is a good book with exact ways to go about doing it. Just don't buy those meal supplements he suggests. He has you eating way too many calories for the most part, although a good amount of calories is necesarry for good health.

Music makes you eat more. According to a report by the journal Psychology and Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage someone to take time over your supper, so you consume more foodstuff. So, switch off – silence will always make you more aware of what you’re adding your mouth.

Purchase smaller plates. Little crockery means portion control is quite a bit easier – those diminutive helpings suddenly look huge and you’ll be happier to take less.

It’s Friday brunch time and you simply can’t stop going back intended for seconds. But hang on! Stop for just a minute and suck on another strong mint. The flavour may put you off that finally plate of chicken korma/roast beef/sushi medley.

Do your food shopping with a list and a time limit; that way, you're not as likely to stray into the ready-made foods section.
