You'll have to talk to him about the baby so just try to be civil to him. You don't have to like him, but try to get along.

Yes because one day no matter what your child may ask where is my dad or why did he not see me and you dont ever want the answer to be because i hated him and did not want to talk to him. you want to be able to say i tried to be respectful of the fact he was your dad and allow him to have a relationship with you and there for meaning he would have to deal with me and i excepted that and he choise not to...but hopefully he sees that the only reason you still are respectful is because of your child and he will be too and it in the long run will be better for your child one of the worst things i ever heard as a child was i hate your father because some people told me how i looked like him or acted like him so sometimes i would wonder if that ment my mom secreatly hated me since i was part of him so be kind and respectful it does not mean you need to be friends but now its not about you guys any more and you dont want anything coming back at you one day when a very angry child says its your fault i dont know my dad or oh you liked him enough once but then when you had to try just to be nice so he would see me you counldn't figure it out long enough for hi and good bye and talking about stuff to do with me thanks and so if nothing else you come out looking like a better person for trying and if it works he will stick around and your child in the long run will be so much better off.

Yes you should still talk to him because he the father and if the child does not have both of his parents it will reflect on the child in the future. So its better to continue speaking with him even though you do not want to.

Yes you should talk to him. Now you have more than yourself to think about. You should not ever use the child against the father EVER! The only one the really suffers is the child. Be sure to not ever badmouth the father in front of the child. You were adult enough to create another life, you damn sure better be adult enough to put that child's needs before your own.

if you have a babY with this person, why wouldn't you speak to him? you're past the point of being able to be selfish, your child and your child's best interest are what should concern you the most now.
