When will the FCC Morse code changes take effect?

Since that article was written on the ARRL site, the FCC published the text of the Report and Order on it's website. According to the text, the revisions to Part 97 will take effect in the usual way - 30 days after publication in the Federal Register. This publication can take 3 or 4 weeks, so late Jan. or early Feb. is as accurate as one can get. As of today 12/30/06, it has not appeared in the Federal Register.

Probably not until January or February of 2007, according to the article below.
