Revlon is pretty good. And only about 20 dollars.

Yes, I agree with Revlon. But it also depends on some things:
Type/length of your hair- my hair is realitivly straight but at the ends it flips in or out and does what ever it feels like. For this situation I use a skinny 1" wide straightner(revlon). If you have naturally curly/wavy hair I reccomend something wider and with a specific heat control. That way you dont keep it too hot. Whatever you do dont buy the straightners that say you can go from wet and curly to dry and straight. These dont work and it frys your hair even faster because all it does is suck the water out of your hair resulting in dehydration of your scalp.

Find a Conair one at Target that can straighten on wet or dry hair and detangles at the same time. It is probably only about $25. Also, to keep your hair from getting burned or damaged, my hairstylist says to put some type of oil or something on your hair. She uses the brand CHI: http://www.folica.com/CHI_Infra_Treat_d2299.html

See this I can't get. If it damages your hair at all why do it? I personally have enough problems keeping it healthy without doing something to it I know causes damage.

Remington is the best and i've tried them all. Also, make sure you use a shiner or a pomade on your hair before you add any kind of heat to it, it makes for less frizz and keeps your hair softer.
