I am a single white female with no children living with me...infact I pay child support. I suffer from depression and some undiagnosed hormonal or thyroid disorder (my best guess) and I also have a severe lack of short term memory. These problems often cause me to be late for work and I often forget simple functions such as going to the restroom, or eating, or sometimes I get lost on my way to work! I am only 32 and I know it can't be alzhiemers. I have a job, but very little money to survive on after I pay the child support. My employer does not provide any health benefits...I NEED medical help and don't know what to do or where to look. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Talk to your local dept of health and human resources. They should be able to reffer you to programs and you can see if you qualify for a medical card. Also look in the phone book for local clinics sometimes they have programs that can get you the testing and care you need cheap or free.

why don't you try getting help from the state? some states offer programs with housing where you only pay 25 dollars to 150 dollars a month for rent which help with other expenses. also try getting medicaid. tell them you do not make enough money. bug them until they help you.

Perhaps your church knows a doctor who would be willing to take a look at you pro bono.
