None of my children were born near a holiday, but my daughter was born on Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Day and my sons birthday is on Sept. 11. he was 22 in 2001 and a senior in college. He has a difficult time dealing with that coincidence. Every year since he gets depressed about his birthday. My own birthday is Aug. 2, that is the day Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait.

I was born on New Years' Day. IT's ok.. i had my 15 minutes of fame, or actually 9, because the next New Year Baby was born.
It has its good points and bad.
1. When I was a kid, it seemed like FOREVER until I got my presents because I got them all at one time. My mom thought it would be fun to have 1/2 birthdays... but we weren't in school to invite my friends. (good idea for summer babies.. )
2. New Year's eve parties are fun. I get the limelight for a few brief seconds.. and depending on where I am I can get a free drink,
3. People call and say "happy new years!!" but my real friend call and say "happy birthday... and btw.. happy new year."
We always had family over on my birthday... but i was never sure if it was for me or New Year's day... but at least I was with my grandparents on MY birthday every year.
My son was born a week before easter.. his first birthday was easter. We made it all about him. (he was too little to do the egg thing anyway!)

My son was born on Memorial Day......thats happy.....
My 1st daughter was born 2 weeks before xmas. That stinks honestly. We spend way too much money at the end of the year.
My second daughter was born 2 weeks after the 4th of July. That ones pretty cool. Just can't go overboard with fireworks anymore. lol

I was born on Christmas Eve.. And that was my due date. It has been OK growing up because of my family. They have always made sure my birthday was special. We Celebrate it the first weekend in December, that way it breaks it up a little. I am not sure why you were wondering, but I hope this helps! :)
