It's the same as a monobrow - and using tweezers on the bit in the middle is better than shaving...
In terms of significance, it is supposed to mean that the wearer is untrustworthy - probably harking back to the days when 'degeneration' and avatism (i.e. being an evolutionary throwback) was widely believed in as a means to identify criminals - so a prognathous jaw, a flat forehead and large eyebrow all carried the stigma of potentially being a criminal throwback.
Also connected to lycanthropism - werewolves, along with hairy palms... (and presumably lengthening teeth and ears!)

When somone has a unibrow it means that both brows, curve up and connect in the middle of your eyes. Try shaving inbetween those brows.

One eyebrow that goes across their forehead. Most people have 2 brows. Some people have that funky unibrow. Plucking would help. ;-)

It means that instead of a person having two seperate eye brows, one above each eye, they only have one. The two brows are connected.
That means that the area between the eyes where there is normally no hair, or very little, has quite a bit of visible hair.
