tend to date Latino males who have had similar experiences and have also been confronted as not being Hispanic enough.. many of these women I have found (and who I find definitely drawn to, since they look great, have shared backgrounds and loathe Reggaeton and all that urban blah..) surprisingly turn down guys like myself and exclusively date Caucasian guys. I don't get it. If you're a surburbanized Hispanic female and have these dating tastes, can you explain this phenomenon to me? Thanks.

As I do not live in the USA, I cannot explain this to you. Maybe they want to assimilate? Why do you think they are "white washed"? I think that you are generalizing. Are all "latinos" and "hispanics" the same to you? No, we are not. We come in all colors, races, and backgrounds. We are not a "race".
Only in the USA I have seen this tendency to put labels in order to classify different groups. "Latinos" and "Hispanic" are composed of diverse groups. You will find Black's like Baseball star Roberto Clemente and Caucasians like the Oscar winning actor José Ferrer. Not everyone is alike. We are not a race. And depending were we come from we are very different. For example, an Argentinian is very different from a Paraguayan. And both are from South America.

I am mixed, half hispanic, and half white, and also come from Suburbia, so I guess I am suited for this one!
You get used to what you see around you. It becomes the norm. It trains you into thinking that is what you are supposed to be attracted to.
I grew up with white guys all around me- it was what I was attracted to for the longest time. Now for the first time, I am considering looking beyond my region for a man that is more like me, maybe. The white guys where I am like to play with the Latina fantasy, but usually want nothing more-in the end, they want to marry a white girl.
In general, I think it's brainwashing that has to be broken.

Well you must understand that your ladies are very beautiful and understadibly draw a lot of competition from all races. I know white girls that will only get with black guys. I know white guys that love asians or hispanics. And I know plenty of girls that like hispanic guys. It all depends on what they like, I would not take it personally. America is a big melting pot they say!

Another one that supposes that Hispanic is a race and that I'll guess the race of someonte telling the person is Hispanic. Why don't you get the facts straight? Hispanic is not a race. If you and your friends are brown it doesn't mean all Hispanics are brown.

Many woman, of all races, take an unhealthy pride in saying "I only date white men."
I find it pretty offensive and pretty insulting.
