What would you do to keep America free? Would you stand up for your country?

To me being an American means to respect my country and pay tribute to anyone who has ever fought for our freedoms, being American means to obey our countries laws, stand up for what is right, and prey to God and thank him for his blessings.

I think that people are really losing the site of what americans are. they are supposed to be kind to one another yet they yell and scream at others because it may be convenient to them. you would greet your neighbors after they move in now you live in a home for 8 years and dont know each others names. i think the expectations for americans are changing and so are the people. people dont show as much spirit, pride and passion for our country as they used to and it is truly very sad.

It means everything to be an American. As many problems as we have all American's pull together as one any time we are threaten. We would do anything to stay free. Any country would be a damn fool to try to invade the United States. Our street gangs alone would rip apart most counties armies. When they talk about Homeland Security, it's always been there. Take a look around at all the Gangs, Bikers, and Rednecks, home security at its finest.

American means you were born here or came here from a different country and became a citizen.
It does not mean you have white skin and speak English.

~What do you think it is?
~Edit: I am a god fearing person but that has nothing to do with a country. Have you never broke the law? I have many times and can admit it. Even going over the speed limit (just 1 MPH) is breaking the law.

You gave a good response to your own question. Respect for our nation. I love America so much that even I can see with all disagreements, we would stand united in times of tribulations, regardless of race or politics. America is young, beautiful, free and should be respected by all.. I will say what I always say.. God bless America..

I joined the Air Force after college (2002). You should think of it as keeping yourself free. You have to be willing to stand up for yourself.

How much would it cost .....to have you do things MY way?

That is the way it is. Wasn't like that always but it is this way now.

No one would be foolish enought to tell you what they would do here and now. Let em' guess.
