talk about what he likes....u'll usually get off on tangents that'll prove to be very interesting.....like u could start off talking about ur boyfriend's favorite sport being basketball...and end up talking about your political views.....i can't really explain how it happens.....it just does...and it's a lot of fun!!! good luck gurl!

According to Professor Henry Higgins, there are only two subjects fit for conversation: The weather and everybody's health.
The best thing to do is listen. Whatever the other person has to say, pay close attention, remember the details, and ask questions to promote further conversation. Resist the urge to "chime in" or talk about your issues until they prompt you to do so.
Important: Do not just pretend to listen. Use this time to guage if this is someone you are truly interested in. Keep in mind, people ususally have the same problems and talk about the same things over and over again. If you find them boring the first time around, imagine how you will feel listening to them for the thousanth time. On the other hand, if you find their conversation enthralling and you just can't hear enough, then they just might be the person for you.
caveat emptor: when it is your turn to talk, pay close attention to how the other person reacts. If they are bored by you, then they might not want to hear what you have to say the thousanth time around. Just something to keep in mind.

well, how about asking about things that you want to know about this person. see what you 2 have in common. this is the opportunity to feel someone out. ask those questions over the phone that maybe you'd be shy about asking in person. you'd be surprised about the things you can learn about another person when you're not in front of them.
