Dancing is all about one foot hitting the floor and then the other in the rhythm of the music playing. Sometimes you hop on one foot, sometimes you jump with both feet, and other times you go L to R and to L again.

Basically, the one foot to the other, with a bit of body sway is the only important thing. If it is fast, wave your arms a bit, and if it is slow, do it slow.

Other people are danceing with 'moves' that are kinda like choreography, but they are showing off if it is really noticeable! Let them show off. You may get good one day. Takes practice.

Enjoy the party. Do not get drunk, that really messes up the ability to dance !!! and do not drive drunk, please.

i know how you feel. i cant dance to save my life. but once a good song comes on that you an dance to and you see how bad alot of other people are dancing then you get less nervous and once you get started you forget about that and just have fun.

dont worry, if you still dont feel comfortable dancing, you can always mingle, you can meet alot of cool people that way!

have fun! :D

1st...maybe you should try rewording your question because it's a little difficult to understand. 2nd. It all depends on the genre of music or the culture that you intrested in (i.e. pop, hip-hop, reggae, etc.) Once you figure it out...you'll find instructions on youtube.com...all you have to do is, search the name of the dance and something should pop up...best wishes...p.s. if this doesn't work out..just be honest...and say you don't dance!
