What does it mean when he says, "I still have feelings for you"?

My boyfriend and I have dated for 2 yrs. we have been having problems for the last 6 mo's. I have told him goodbye-get lost and he has done the same to me. We find it next to impossible to be break it off. When I last talked to him he said he "still has FEELINGS for me. What, exactly is that statement supposed to mean?

i think that's just his way of trying to be gentle about letting u down....he seems a little indecicive right now....tell him flat out u want to know what's going on and either stay together happily or truely break it off for good

That even tho you guys feel that you are "done" you have history...more good times then bad. And that makes it near impossible to say goodbye and good ridence. The "feelings" he has for you are probably the ones that once drew you two together....I hope that sheds some light on the subject.

Well I'm sort of having the same problem with my X but it's only because I'm positive he only has one reason of wanting to get back together, he's jealous. So... before actually taking him back think about his true motives, he could be being sincere with you but make sure your doing the right thing. I'm sure your having enough heartache as it is and do you really want an unstable relationship? Just make sure you know what your doing and what he's doing before you take him back. Good luck.

Break it off. Go on. Stop talking and dragging each other through the mud. He'd like to sleep with you but can't get along with you and misses the way you were before your really knew each other. Move on. Move up. Stop rolling around in this messed up relationship.

He has feelings for you (cares about you), but has other obligations or things he has to do before settling down. Finishing school and finding a good job or career is very important to a guy, and he doesn't want to settle down until he has down all these things. You can either stick around and be there for him, or move on and date other people. If you really like him and he cares for you, I would stay with him until he is ready to make a commitment.

It sounds to me like neither one of you are ready to do this at this time.

Guys are not very good with words so when they say things there is no hidden meaning behind it. Or he misses the poon. Either could be true.
