I got a nice xmas gift for my boyfriend. He & I have been 2gether now for almost 5 years. I knew that he wanted this gift so bad but I didn't let on what he was getting. I wanted this year to be special. I know Christmas is not about money but he also purchased me a very nice gift this year. Now again the money doesnt matter. It is the thought that counts so here is the problem. He & I exchanged gifts. He was so happy & I was as well. He left & went to his moms for his xmas thing. He promised he would come back & help me with "santa" by putting things together like he always has. When he got back to my place, he picked an argument & left. He turned off his phone at home & cell. He went home & I drove over later to be very nice & ask what his problem was. He wouldnt even come to the door even though he was there. He had lights on when I drove up then shut them out. My feelings are so hurt. How can someone be so cruel and heartless. He has given the cold shoulder ever since. whats up

Girl, girl girl you wasted 5 yrs in playing house. It didn't happen all of a sudden the signs where there and you just didn't want to see it. As far as the the gift is concern get it back and return it. He doesn't have the ball to tell you that there someone else or that he wants out. There a big problem in your relationship and you know it, now face it, yes it going to hurt but girl STOP giving the milk FREE. Take time out and look at what went wrong, don't look at the things he did, look at the things you did or didn't do cause only you can change yourself not him. And don't give up your standards and what morals you have left.

It doesn't sound like you were the cause of anything. Maybe he just has some issues he needs to deal with on his own for a while. Maybe something happened at his moms. Considering that you've been together for five years you must care a great deal for this guy. I would call periodically and leave a message to let him know that I was there for him for whatever it is that he was going through. I'm sure he'll come around. But at the same time I wouldn't sit and wait for too long especially considering you don't have a clue as to whats going on.

Sounds to me that he wasnt wanting to be with you but didnt know how to get out of it but if thats the case hes being very childish about the whole thing. A real chick needs a real man and if he cant be that then you dont need it. The pain will pass with time and you can move on to bigger better things in your life. Dont let this guy make your heart an ice box.Lifes too short for all that girl. Stay strong and keep your head up.

Im so sorry to hear that sweetheart. He's obviously not man enough to be with you, I hope you don't think too much of this and is not to hurt. I would consider moving on and trying to find a man that could make you happy. I know it's easier said then done, especially when it comes to being 5 years together. I wish I were there to give you a big hug.

Sounds like something happened at his Mom's that made him re-think your relationship. Do you and his Mom get along? I would just be patient and continue to try to reach out. I would also tell him that after five years together, you hope he would be open and honest with you about whatever is going on with him. The holidays are really difficult for a lot of people. Absolutely amazing! I'm always disturbed by this behavior. It's one thing to break up or have an argument with someone and give a reason, but it's something completely different when you have NO EXPLANATION for it. Something is missing from this story. Either you know what it is and left it out, or he's a complete moron (no offense to you). Best of luck, seriously.

Several things could be going on. Maybe he just had a bad day and took it out on you. Maybe he wants to break up and thought that would be the best way to do it. Maybe he is cheating on you. My advice is to just give him some space. Don't bother him, or call him. Chances are he will come around again. If he loves you he will come to his senses. If you never hear from him again, then maybe it's time to move on.

hi, don't worry about it too much men get into their not wanting to be committed stages...its the holidays too and alot of parties going on. Men want their cake and eat it too and we as women must know these things about men. I studied my x of 3 years when he was doing all of his cheating and wanting me and other women too everyday to my face swore out he wasn't sexing other women when he was all a long. Not saying urs is but u never know when they start making us feel insecure it is a true sign that they are insecure and an insecure man is a bad man! They are the biggest cheaters! oh yea picking fights is just an excuse he gone use....oh we were arguing when i did that bunch of bull. he could possibly have someone else some men r dogs. but we as women need to know it is not us all the time its them.

who knows. if you two hadn't been together for so long it almost sounds like one of those cases where you stick out the holiday just to get the present. stop going over there and stop calling. he'll come around when he's ready. but when he does, he better have a damn good explanation.
