That is a very interesting theological and moral question.
The obvious (and sad to say) real answer is that our forefathers were always in a position of power and never had to pay in any real way for the atrocities they perpetrated on the tribes of our proud Native American brothers.
Within my own area of the country (and even in my youth) the hanging of Sioux tribesman during the Sioux uprising was still "memorialized" in my home town in the 1970's. Abraham Lincoln actually pardoned a good many before the hangings, but many still went to their deaths and without question were innocent of any crimes.
It doesn't mean that it excuses the sins of Saddam or any other tyrant in our world, those killers are not excused for their actions, but it does call into question our own hypocracy and self interests in the eyes of a proud people.
"Brother heal thyself" is very true.
Thank you for making me actually have to think today.

It doesn't matter in whose name the slaughter takes place, there are actions and there are consequences. Those soldiers (and indeed Saddam) may believe that their actions were inspired by God, but if they were as we consider them to be - acts of murder, then it really doesn't matter what they believed. There is the law of cause and effect - known as the iron law for good reason, and whilst we may have difficulty appreciating how it functions, it is inescapable nonetheless. This is the basis of the statement 'revenge is mine sayeth the Lord'.

Christian soldiers? They were soldiers who were christian yes, but its irrelevant because they could've been anything else too, they didn't call some crusade on the Native Americans and expect all of christendom to come to aid, they converted them in the name of God, just like they did to my people. This question if F$^#ing retarted anyway

The payment that Saddam Hussein will make in an hour and a half is not payment for his sins. Jesus Christ paid for our sins. Those who reject him will carry the wages of sin with them into hell. The gift of God is eternal life.
If you don't know Jesus Christ because of the actions of those that have taken his name in vain then now is the time to learn about him and accept him into your heart.

People who are SAVED....that is, they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior will not have to answer for their sins. Those who are not SAVED will face the judgement seat of Christ when they die and there, they will have to give an account for every thing they did in life. I believe that if they are not saved they will indeed answer for slaughtering Native Americans....absolutely. And then they will be cast into Hell to burn for all eternity.

Not sure if you included this in "Native Americans", but you can add in the Caribbean and South America as well.
Although, God-sponsored genocide is a common theme in the Bible.

What does Christianity have to do with Hussein? He killed Iraqis. He was tried by Iraqis and will be executed by Iraqis. Last time I checked, most Iraqis were Muslims. God will judge everyone one day.

First, a lot of people say that they are doing evil things in God's name, but they are doing it for their own greed and avarice. Second, a soldier follows orders - if you don't believe in killing, don't become a soldier. Third, who says they were all Christian? Fourth - we all pay for our errors.

I have forgiven the Christian soldiers. They are no longer in this mortal life, anyway.
