Jesus has paid the price that we could never pay so that we can have a personal relationship now with God and eternally in heaven. Most people I talk to say they have been good enough to get into heaven. have you been good enough and why do you think so?

just to clarify- there is nothing that we do that would make us good enough, that is my point. Jesus paid the price so that I can enter heaven. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE.

Wow! Who have you been talking to?
True Christians understand humility and their complete reliance upon and faith in the rightousness of Christ. We can also know that we have a conscience void of offense between God and man. Myself, I'm not so saintly I guess because I have to beg God daily to give victory over thoughts, attitudes, my speech, to give me more love, patience, wisdom, and to guard my heart so no root of bitterness will defile me. The Bible says if the righteous shall scarcely be saved then where shall the ungodly appear in judgment? The way is straight and narrow and few there be that enter this way and find it. Our righteousness is as filthy rags so without Christ we are nothing. The publican said "Lord, be merciful to me a sinner" and his prayer was heard before the proud haughty religious man's was. We cannot be proud of anything except to glory in the cross of Jesus Christ.

Well, as a Pagan, I believe in reincarnation, there is a waiting place called the Summerland where we wait until reincarnation. Or at least, that's my educated guess. I really don't know and neither do you. What I do know is that the Christian theory doesn't make sense to me. I don't believe in Sin so I don't believe someone can absolve them. Also, I believe everyone is responsible for themselves. So I wouldn't want Jesus to die for me even if he did. ALso, I think that the Jesus story was just a rehash of all the savior stories from before, this time with a Catch 22 attached to it. "Either believe in me or go to Hell," I think not. Also, I don't believe in Hell. I don't think that a place of eternal damnation makes any sense. Also, I've never seen any evidence.

I do my best, I try not to hurt anybody, I help as much as I can, I take care of my family, I am a good friend, I am a good citizen.

I've made mistakes but nothing big that has harmed anyone seriously and when I have made mistakes and when I know about them I have tried to make amends to the people I wronged.

If that ain't good enough - then maybe heaven ain't that great a place.

I believe that you just have to be happy in life and live it to its fullest in order to be able to go to heaven , B/c I believe that if there really is a god then he knows people screw up and he knows peop,e are not going to be as good or great as he might like so I belive that if you belive in yourself enough then you will go no matter what as long as you dont kill some one or something like that.

If a superstition is what you want to believe then do so........good luck. Spreading you ideas by using fear(going to heaven or hell) and demonstrating your ignorance is not appealing to more people than you could imagine. Those of us who do not believe in the supernatural (by the way belief in the supernatural is superstition) do not usually use public forums to spread our ideas but we do respond to the superstitious among us who do these things and ask you not to...we don't care and if you must do it I hope it makes you feel good because most of us here are just shaking our heads, wondering why?

I think if you are a good person who is kind, honest, and helps others in need than you go to heaven.

there is another theory I'm interested in that says because of Jesus all* are forgiven by god and our punishments come in this lifetime, so earth is actually hell

Thanks For Your Beautiful Question :)

Well I am a Muslim and we believe that no matter how many good deeds we do we still wont deserve heaven because heaven is much more greater than any good deeds and so we will enter heaven only by gods mercy.

I have no desire to go to heaven, so does it really matter how good or not I've been to get Santa presents?

come on. Who wants to go to a hospital room painted white with no shadow, dressed in white, seeing only other people dressed in white....I think MASH addressed this right in one episode, when Hawkeye was sick of seeing Army green everywhere. He had to toss in a red robe to be different, since he hated being there.

Again, you question is one sided with the attempt to haide it's one sided ness behind arrogance of answerers.
