reinstalling your xp installation disk don't take your computer back to the original pc status. You have to use F12 on start up.Before the computer get's started start clicking F12,while holding down ctrl and alt at the same time. This will take you to reboot menu.On the menu ,arrow down to item 4 on list.enter that and do as the computer say's.( in that menu you can't use mouse thats why i said arrrow down) This will clear your pc back to the eday you got it.Nothing will be on your system, but the deep down memory. You'll have to reload all your cd's you got with pc and all your other disk and reload accessories. If that's what you want that's how to do it.The xp disc by it self don't clear system, only reloads the xp program, everything else will still be there.NOTE: The F12 clicking may take a couple of times to get into menu.Clicking all has to be done at the first touch of the turn on button.)Good luck. Email if needed.

You will need to reformat your PC. This will restore it back to its factory settings. Look for the recovery disc that came with your computer or laptop when you first purchased it. Follow the on screen instructions.

most pc's come with a restore CD. If not , make sure you have startup diskettes. You can create them in xp. Just go to search and type in creating boot disks. With the boot diskette you can just go to a dos window and do format c:\ or do fdisk from the diskette and delete the partition. and start from scratch there.

You would have to format your hard drive and reinstall XP and all your hardware drivers. Do you have a restore disk from your computers manufacturer.
