Yes, and it would be.
Heaven and hell don't exist as places. They're states of being. Being doomed to repeat the same dumb mistakes over and over and over and over... Never learning, never growing, never experiencing... THAT'S hell. THAT'S torment. THAT'S repitition. THAT'S the Pit that the bible talks about.
Heaven is working hard to change your life and your surroundings, bit by bit, piece by piece. When you change yourself, you change the world.
When an alcoholic who's already lost his family, his job, his home, his car and his dignity (Hell) decides to clean up his act and starts with those tiny baby steps we all know but fear to take, he begins his path toward change. Slowly, bit by bit, he learns to scrub away the stains of what he doesn't like and gently polish the things he does, and before you know it his heart his glad and his mind is free (Heaven). This is a proccess that takes time, patience, and elbow grease, and more than a little help. But this proccess can turn your Hell into Heaven (Redemption, Salvation)
That's the bottom line, folks, of the bible's metaphors concerning heaven and hell.
So yes, my metaphor is going to be very different than someone else's metaphor, and sometimes they may be polar opposites.
Which of us is right? Which of us is wrong? Who cares, none of us are actually DOING anything, just wasting time and energy talking about it on the internet.

Yep, I do believe that to be completely true. Our world is the perfect example of it. I think there are two reasons for this. First most people don't see it that way. Second, many of those who do, have become jealous and want the whole of it for themselves. So, just realizing this actually could be heaven right here right now isn't enough. We also have to stop coveting other people's heavens and be happy with our own.

Yes, but I usually keep my mouth shut about it because there are a ton of people out there who won't hear anything but their own opinions on heaven and hell.

Maybe that's what Hell is for. If you reject God in this life, would you be happy in a place where all others were praising God 24/7 for all eterenity? Kinda like being the ultimate wallflower!

Yes. Isn't it funny that we think our ideals are best for everyone? I'm sure those 72 virgins are just going to love being sex slaves. That's heaven for them, I'm sure.

No, and never will. Because as much as that might sound like a witty brainteaser, it's logically impossible. Like the other user said, it wouldn't be heaven if it was hell.

Yes. In fact it would be for most, which is why I spend so much time trying to make things like I would want them.

I don't spend a great deal of time worrying about it. Those who love the truth will seek it and the truth will be revealed to them...those who do not will not be forced in. God is gracious but he is polite...he allows you free will it is a shame that many would choose death over life.
