well it depends on what you mean by possessions- ie if you're referring to possessions as in spirits that take over your body or if you're referring to material possessions. If you're referring to the latter then try working hard, doing every bit of over time you can for a year to save up for something really expensive that you want. When you've done this and completed the transaction, reflect on your question again and you'll find the answer!

I read this a few time ago in the "evangeliuos of Lucas"..
" Do not collect possessions that you know, you could not take with you, to the next place you are going to "...
But many "possessions", make this life "easier" for us...the point is to share them, whenever you have to do it with other "ones" who may need them.

The only possessions I own are 'Love' for my Family and friends....Everything else is materialistic (money, electricals, car, house) ...they don't own me...which i am happy to lose as they can be replaced.

I not a hoarder of materlistic items, just simple things like love, memories....as thats all you take with you when you go..

The only possession I have is my business, which is my only means of income. I own that. Everything else I disregard, as I could easily leave it all and never see it again.

Initially...we own our possesions, but if the influence of those posessions becomes so strong as to affect the decisions we take in life...then it can seem that the posessions start to own us.

It is a question of the freedom of the soul. Disown any allegiance to posessions...and they can never own you. Be free!!! and no one can control you through your desire to own.
