I can't understand why the light complexion tans! I mean I understand if you're pale like paper okay, but certain light skinned people have beautiful skin. Not even pigment like us darker-skinned. My cousin is fair-toned, like a beige. She has the nerve to tan. It's her buisness I'm not stopping her, but she has such a nice caramel complexion, why would you want to get darker, or try? It's not worth getting skin cancer right?

Because tan fat looks better than white fat. That is why I tan myself.

Different people tan for different reasons. To tell you the truth, it's actually pretty relaxing to just lay in the bed and listen to music and its nice and warm. I go tanning in the winter on a regular basis. I know it isn't good for me and that in the long run it can cause a lot of problems but I hate winter and being tan makes it feel a little better. And personally I believe every skin color and shade is beautiful...but on myself I feel gross and washed out if my skin is too pale. And I must say, I tan fabulously. :)

Tanning can definitely effect you badly even if you go in a tanning bed to much. It'll give you wrinkles and @ the pool or beach you can get skin cancer. I for one can't tan because I've got really sensitive skin and I'm fine with it.

I'm a brown skinned sista that loves tanning! LOL I was a lifeguard most of my teen years and early 20's... I love that way my skin looks after spending time in the sun. It evens out my skin tone... brings out my hazel eyes...a Bronze Tan? You can't beat it! Besides, Nothing... I mean nothing is hotter than seeing a African American women tanned from HEAD TO TOE!

i think purposefully tanning is stupid.
i dont go tanning, but whenever i go outdoors in the sun for even ten minutes to walk to the store i get a tan by accident, i hate it.
i love having light skin.
some people dont care about skin cancer, i dont understand why.
the sun is always there, even when it is not sunny.
i always wear lotion with SPF in it, even in winter time, even when it rains, because i actually care about my skin.
but at least when they are older and DO have skin cancer, they'll regret it big time!

tanning can cause cancer so i wouldnt tan on purpose just go out back in a swim suit and pull weeds or play with a pet on a sunny day!

I tan for many reasons.
One... it relaxes all my muscles.
Two... it keeps me from getting ingrown hairs or any kind of razor bumps any where!
Three... more colors look better with tans. (Clothing)
Four... it dries out my acne and I have less visible break outs during my cycle.
Probably more, but those are my main ones.
