my bed is queen size, but it has the pillow top matress on the top & bottom. what size bed set should i buy so the fitted sheet will stay on it? thank you for your time. :)

You should only need a queen size. Most sheet sets now are made to accomodate. You might want to look for a sheet set marked "for deeper mattresses." That should be satisfactory. However, I would try the bottom sheet on your bed before washing it so if it doesn't fit, you can take it back. And if it doesn't fit, instead of buying a sheet set, by the pieces individually so you can buy a king fitted and a queen top sheet. Hope this helps.

You can buy a queen size sheet set that has "deep pockets". This will be found on the packaging.
