I decreases the value quite a bit. The 77 had pretty weak performance to begin with and you went from the higher performance motor to the lower one. Add to that the car is no longer a numbers matching original. Vette buyers tend to be a bit picky about that. Figure about 30% under book to be a fair estimate.

Generally, Corvettes without the original motors are worth less than original. BUT, that is mostly for restored examples. The market has been waning over the last 10 years to accept Corvettes that are good drivers, be it improved suspension, brakes or motors.

you mean Ls-4 LS-5 & LS-6 and LT1 the 427 rat motor and they are all diferint and all crap Buy a Ford If you can afford it, GT-40 $146,000 MSRP and 550 Supercharged Horseys that will smak down any vett even the for F-150 Lightning will beat and covett and its a truck, BUY a FORD Be Smart
