Best razor and method for shaving head bald?

Question

For personal spiritual reasons I want to shave my head bald. I have long hair, down to my behind. What I want to do is put it in a pony tail & shave it off at the roots. What razor is best for achieving this? I imagine having it in a pony tail while shaving might make things more difficult. Any technical advice would be appreciated as well as razor recommendations. A person who's never cut hair in their life will be performing this for me so details would be really good.

When I shave my head, I use clippers to buzz it off to about 1/16-1/8 inch long, then I shave my head with the Gillette Mach III razor.

Save the pony tail, you can donate it to "Locks of Love", they make wigs for children with cancer.

Drop a visit to Ft Benning Training Base and visit the barber section. They have clippers that will make your top of your head look a like scrotum.

the best is to cut your hair short...donate it to locks of love through your local salon..then go home and shave it...the longer the hair is the more difficult it will be to shave it

i think you should get one of those old fashion razors. the ones that look like knives. i don't think the plastic one would do you any good
