your heart cannot "lead," unless you are referring to that "gut" feeling. but we all know that feelings are found in the brain, not in the "gut." we know that if you poke the right spot in the brain you can make a depressed person happy, a sane person paranoid. that heart of which you speak is nothing more than our instinct! our mind supercedes our instinct, if you consider that our "mind" is where we keep our knowledge of how things were, are, and logically will be. for example, it is because of my mind that i KNOW that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow. not my gut feeling. it is, in contrast, my gut feeling that i should flee if a man points a gun at me. i do not know for a fact that he WILL shoot at me, hell, i don't even know for a fact that the gun is real, but instinct tells me that it is bad and i should flee. if what i say is wrong, give me one example where someone's actual heart lead them somewhere. it is also fun to note that the "feelings of the heart" aren't even centered ON the heart, but a bit lower... hmm... and a lot of it can be explained by the chemicals our body releases. of course, that can all be blamed on the brain (in my opinion the gut feeling, or "heart," represents a more primal set of rules... survival and so on.)

Logic only goes so far; the heart and mind both realize that and I am teaching myself to go beyond what the mind physically sees at present (walk by faith 2 Cor. 5:7).
