the popup says "cannot install the WindowsInstaller. Check if the program CD is an original copy, and exchange it with a new CD if ti is not an original copy."
what in the world does this mean?? is there any way to view this?? do i have to burn this burned CD to another CD... if that makes any sense?

The original CD had copy protection.

The computer knows you have put a copy into the drive and is refusing to deal with it and insisting that you insert an original disk.

If you don't have the original you can do nothing.

Well it sounds like there is copy protection on the CD requiring the orginal CD to install. Without actually seeing the error boxes (unfortunately a cut/paste wont work, a screenshot might though).

Also, you may have an outdated version of MSI (Microsoft Software Installer), in which case you need to update your windows. Open up IE, goto Tools->Windows Update
and install all the updates available (except drivers, they only give problems In my experience)

What it means is that it detects that this is a copy and not the origional CD and it wont run on a burned copy.

That just basically means you burned a cd which had copyrighted stuff on it. This is a trick used by software manufacturers to avoid piracy.
