We have a 8month old male boxer (not neutered), He is pretty house trained but he wants outside at least 1x an hour, sometimes it constant, in and out like 3-4x an hour. I am well aware he loves to be outside, my concern is that everytime he goes outside, i believe he is actually peeing. Is this normal??? He will stand at the bad door and whine until u let him out. He doesint seem to have a prob with bladder control, since he no longer pee's in his crate or in the house, but he always wants to go outside!! ANy advice??

I have a year old bordie collie that does the same thing. I believe it's just because he's bored and a very active breed. He goes out, goes pee, looks around for a few minutes and wants back in to be near me. Then in a few minutes he's bored again and wants to go back out. If I could install a doggy door so that he could let himself out and in, I would, but we have two cats that have to stay indoors, so we can't put in a pet door. On days when I can give my puppy a good workout or a long walk, he doesn't want in and out as much. You might try that.

My boy would love it if I let him out 3-4 times an hour and would find a way to mark my yard every time. I sort of sounds like he has trained you instead of you training him.

As long as he checks out with your vet that there is no bladder problem and he is not going in the house - then it is a lifestyle choice on your part on how much to let him out. Do remember that boxers are guard dogs by nature and will exhibit these traits.

Do you have other dogs roaming around the neighborhood? I know male dogs love to go outside and mark their territory. Even if it is just a squirt or 2. Or maybe you have a female that is in heat. Your dog would be able to sense this a pretty good ways away. I would say a bladder infection, but if you think not then I dunno. Good luck!!!
