i need to lose weight by this summer so tips on what to eat or drink , what exercises are good, how much to run would be really helpful. thanx alot

I made some major changes in my life recently to improve my help, here is some advice based on what I have done. (M 20 something)

Change your diet.

Try a vegetarian diet for a month. Increase your intake of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains. Cut back on milk and substitute with soy milk. Reduce or eliminate junk foods, refined foods, sodas, etc.

Some foods I have had today

-Cheerios with soy milk, dried blueberries, dried cranberries, and almonds.
-Diluted Grape juice (fruit juice has lots of calories)
-Onion bagel with fresh avocado as a spread
-1st half of grapefruit
-Broccoli, Romaine Lettuce, Spring Greens,
-Feta Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Sweet Potato with Plain Yogurt
-Apple, Banana
-Sugar cookies (limited)

Get physically active

Start walking/running a few times a week. On rest days, do some other physical activity or sport as cross training (swimming, basketball, softball, surfing).Do crunches, pushups, etc.

Stretch! Get flexible.

It has lots of useful information and coaches to help you achieve fitness goals. E.g. running 20 minutes without walking, and without losing your breath. Training to run a 5K (3 miler). I was really out of shape months ago, but now I can run 2 miles in 16 minutes. My next goal is to run a 5K without walking or losing my breath. I am training to run a half marathon this summer!!!

My encouragement to you is this. Think about the lifestyle you want. Realize that you are young, and decide that you want to live up to your peak physical potential. Change your diet for healthy foods that will extend your life and make you feel better. Find exercises you enjoy that will relieve your stress, improve your appearance, increase your stamina, and boost your self confidence.

Whatever you do, don't give up! Remember, it doesn't matter where you are right now, so much as the direction you are going in. What counts is not how strong, fast, or thin you are (we are all different), but what counts is the effort you are making in your present situation.You're still at the age where it's easier to set lifelong habits. Tips are the following:

1) First and formost, you have to love yourself.
2) Watch your calories, Weight Watchers is a wonderful diet, they tell you exactly how many calories you should be eating daily.
3) Exercise..Get a routine together..If you want to lose weight, you should make sure to incorporate cardio, treadmill, stairmaster etc. You should do that every other day, and weights every other day, switch off,

So for example, Monday-Weights, Tuesday-Cardio (45 mins Minimum), and so on and so forth.

you need to work out and eat healthy! The best exercise is running. Run like 30 minutes everyday I swear you'll se changes especially if you're not used to working out. For the diet I recommend you consult a dietician to find what is perfect for you. If you want to lose weight fast you should go on a 1200 cals/day diet. but i'm not sure so consult a dietician first.
ps: join a gym for muscle work out

What I'd first do is find how much you are SUPPOSED to weigh before I do anything. Then once you find out I think the best thing for you to do is stay off the junk food for a while, and drink lots of water. water helps get rid of the fat. Curls get rid of the fat on your stomach so if there's fat on your stomach do those. You can find lots of wieght programs that will help you. Good luck!!!
