There are several law restrictions for people abroad to buy land in Switzerland. You may find more information on the homepage of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce:

Is is difficult to tell you where you should buy land in Switzerland as you do not state for what purpose you intend to use the land. Do you want to build a ski cottage or high tech factory ? Obviously the preferable location would be totally different.
