If this was an "accident" that happened recently, ask the vet to perform the spay NOW. This will terminate the pregnancy and prevent future "accidents".

Your dog could have anywhere from 1-12 pups, same as most other dog breeds.

Dont listen to the stupid people who are telling you the puppies will be too big for your dog to give birth to. The puppies will grow to the size that her womb can accomodate. And it doesnt matter that they are mixed breed either. In the wild this would be completely natural. Its only humans who have selectively bred dogs. Its a fact that mixed breed dogs are healthier than pedigrees because of their large gene pools.

I would guess that your dog will have between 4 and 9 puppies, but its hard to tell. Take her to the vets for a checkup and as the pregnancy progresses the vet should be able to tell you roughly how many puppies to expect.

Make sure you get loads of advice from the vets about the pregnancy, birth, things you might need or should look out for etc to make sure you and the dog are prepared properly. Good luck!!

There is no such thing as an accident but rather lack of responsibility. Why weren't both fixed? I hope the female gets fixed asap after the pups. The litter size will vary probably 4-8. Go to the vet. Ask them what care you should be giving the mom.

Please fix this problem and put the pups on spay/neuter contracts. Either give back part of the adoption fee when they get them fixed or better yet find a vet that will do it a 6 weeks.

perhaps the buff ones are extra effective than the black ones. I easily have a 5 year previous cocker spaniel that does compared to different canines, in any respect. yet perhaps if I had of gotten yet another canines even as he change right into a domestic dog, he might want to of been extra sociable.

2-6 would be average, But why would you want to breed her?

If the female is a Cocker and the male is a Lab, you need to go to the vet and have her spayed. The pregnancy alone could kill her. If you have her spayed now, then you won't have to worry about it.

Labs usually have 6-10 pups and cocker spanials can have 4-6

So I would have to say anywhere from 5-8

The spaniel breed of dogs are excellent mothers. Since this is a coker lab mixed, depending on the size of the mother to be will be the final determining factor of the litter size. I raise labs. My guess is she will have six pups. If that is all she has, they should all be healthy. Good luck to her.

That was very irresponsible. She may have quite a difficult birth. I think the least of your worries is the number of puppies. I hope you get a vet to help with the birth!
